Recently somebody on one of my horror groups over on yahoo made the claim that the basis of the vast majority (if not all) of horror is violence or at least the fear of violence. I disagreed very very strongly with this. What do you think?
And can you give examples of some great horror stories that don’t rely on violence in any form?
