ghost tales by Lawrence and Kipling

I’ve been reading ghost stories by D. H. Lawrence (The Last Laugh, from 1928) and Rudyard Kipling (“They” which dates from 1904). I wasn’t overly taken by the Lawrence story, although it was certainly different. The Kipling story wasn’t bad.
Not writers generally associated with the idea of supernatural fiction, but in those days it seems that just about every author wrote at least a couple of ghost stories.
