Since we were talking about horror and dreams recently. I've just read a short story by the Russian decadent writer Valery Bruisov, called Now That I’m Awake - and it's on that very subject! A man develops the ability to control his dreams, and then uses that power to satisfy his darkest cravings, knowing it's safe to do so because after all it's only a dream. Needless to say, things go badly wrong. A great little story, definitely horror, published in 1902.
