So what do people think of Abraham Merritt? I simply adored his fantasy novel "The Ship of Ishtar" (dating from 1922 or theeabouts), but I wasn't quite so convinced by his horror novel "Burn Witch Burn". I have to admit, though, that it had some nicely chilling images, and those dolls were creepy.
