This may be slightly outside the purview of this community, but I thought most of you would find it interesting. As anyone who has read Beowulf and the Hobbit knows, J.R.R. Tolkien was a brilliant author and a shameless pillager of the work that preceded him. Well, one of my lj friends,eldritchhobbit, has just released a new edition of one of Tolkien's (and Wagner's) greatest influences, available for the first time in 181 years:
