Here is a good site about Fritz Leiber, the author famous for the novel Conjure Wife and stories like The Hill And The Hole and Smoke Ghost. If you like urban horror I would say Leiber's stories are an essential port of call, though he did not restrict himself to writing about the horror that lurks around billboards, brownstones and railway lines and often enjoyed the odd excursion to the countryside... Plenty of reviews, bits and bobs to look at here, including a link to Leiber's son's homepage, and fans of horror jacket artwork will be pleased to see that there are many images of Leiber's book covers from over the years, ranging from the garish to the subtly eerie.

Simon Clark is a British horror writer I’ve been hearing good things about. Has anyone read any of his stuff? I noticed they have several of his books at my local library, including “Darkness Demands’.
